Hey there! My name is Jocelyn Genesis Hernandez and I'm a senior at Lindsay High school. I'm 18 years old and I was born and raised here in Lindsay California. It's a really small town, but in the 18 years I've been alive i have got to say I met some pretty great/ kind hearted people. I grew up in a house of 4: My mom, dad, and best friend (a.k.a) my sister. I feel like I've always been so open, I've never been afraid to get my word out there. This also makes me a very outgoing and weird but nice person. I love meeting new people because you learn something new everyday and each person I know has their own unique flaws that are so worth learning about. I would say I'm not like other girls; i don't always hangout with friends to go shopping, and whatnot; you'll catch me spending most of my time with my family. Don't get me wrong, I love my friends more than anything, infact they have taught me so much and I don't know what I would do without them, but it's just different when it comes to my family. My family has been so supportive in everything I do and they're the reason I stand where I am today. Besides spending time with my family another thing I love to do is cheer. I've been cheering since I was 8 and it's kept me so busy ever since. Speaking of busy, I'm a very hard working person/student. I believe that as long as you set your heart to it, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to achieve it. Trust me, there has been so many times where I have procrastinated and just thought about giving up completely, but with all the staff at LHS, my friends, and my family, I feel it's safe to say I have all the help I can get right in front of me. Being so busy with work and cheer, I've always put school first because it's my top priority. Each day I push myself to higher limits because it's a challenge I'm willing to accept. I just know I can do so much better in my academics and all it takes is hard work and an open mind. I am determined to accomplish all my goals and face all the downfalls it takes to get there. I learn something new about myself everyday, and I'm excited to see what the future has in store for me.
